Champions Meeting: Gemini Cup Guide

What is Champions Meeting?

Champion’s Meeting is a recurring PvP event that requires each player to bring three Umas per ticket or attempt. The Uma that finishes first is considered the winner, regardless of the performance of the other Umas in the team.

Track Details

The image above shows when each phase of the race starts and ends. However, for most players this information is irrelevant and can be ignored.

Statlines and Recovery Skills

For Gemini Cup, we highly recommend having at least two to three Gold Recovery Skills and 1200 Stamina to survive the track. This takes into account that skills have roughly a 27% chance of not activating with 350 Wit. Taking an additional recovery skill offsets this issue and serves as a safety net for debuffers.

God Roll Statline

Quite frankly this statline unrealistic and extremely difficult to obtain. However, there have been a few of these spotted in Room Matches we decided to include it.

Recommended Statline

1000+1200600+410+300+

This should the bare minimum statline to aim for.

Certain styles require more recovery skills than others. Most notably, Pace Chasers require both 1200 Stamina and three Gold Recovery Skills. Note that Guts should not be ignored and should reach at least 410, which will naturally occur while trying to build 1200 Stamina.

Team Building and Recommended Characters

Disclaimer: Before moving on to this section, remember to always use the Uma that you want. There are a plethora of decent builds in Room Match lobbies that have shown off-meta picks peforming well.

Carries

Similar to the previous Champions Meet, Gold Ship is still a strong pick. By virtue of being an End Closer, she requires slightly less Stamina than other styles. Most importantly, she has a built-in Gold Recovery Skill. This allows her to obtain 3 Gold Recovery Skills if needed.

Another strong pick for this Champion's Meet is Narita Taishin. She has easy access to Straightaway Spurt/Enroaching Shadow, which is a required Skill for all End Closers. On top of this, she has a built in Gold Recovery Skill making her easy to built.

Note that there are other carries available but unlike the previous Champions Meeting most of the good options are End Closers.

Debuffers

Debuffers are consistently used and required for most teams. The most obvious option is Nice Nature, with All Seeing Eyes. Keep in mind that All Seeing Eyes requires the other Umas to be in her Field of View. Mystifying Murmur does not activate in this CM and should not be taken.

Other options, such as Grass Wonder, Agnes Tachyon, and Symboli Rudolf, aren't great picks are Dominator does not activate in this CM. Air Groove is a decent alternative with two End Closer debuffs built-in to her kit.

Note that debuffers do not require high stats to compete in Champions Meeting, as their placement at the end of the race does not matter. At minimum, you will need enough stats to survive the race and 800+ Wit to ensure they activate their skills consistently.

Team Compositions

2 Debuffers + 1 Carry

Going into the second Challenge Meet, this will be the standard team composition most players will want to run. It is the most consistent against any lineup and is much easier to build compared to other teams.

For debuffers, Nice Nature should always be the default pick, alongside any remaining debuffers you decide to run. As for your carry, we recommend Gold Ship or Narita Taishin, though any Uma will work if they are well built.

1 Debuffers + 2 Carries

This is another alternative team composition that can perform well if built properly. However, running two carries in the team requires more time and resource investment. You will also need a new parent or legacy Uma that caters to both carries.

Parents and Sparks

Looping Sparks and farming for ideal Legacies/Parents is a time consuming process that aims to obtain sparks to make a strong carry Uma. This topic deserves its own article and has a lot to consider such as Aptitude Sparks, Affinity, Unique Skills, White Sparks, Race Sparks, and more. Therefore this section will be kept brief and only go over which sparks to look out for.

For Gemini Cup in particular, it is not worth farming for White Sparks except for Straightaway Spurt on End Closers. Purchasing two to three recovery skills will leave you with few Skill Points left for additional skills. At a minimum, obtain Straightaway Spurt for End Closers or Groundwork on Front Runners then prioritize Red and Blue Sparks.

Blue and White Sparks

Aptitude (Red Sparks)Stats (Blue Sparks)
Long SparksStamina

When considering sparks, we highly recommend prioritizing Aptitude Sparks over Stats. These are generally more impactful that raw stats and can be compensated for during training. For Red Sparks, always prioritize Distance > Surface > Style. As for Blue Sparks, Stamina is honestly the only viable stat for due to the nature of this CM.
